Toshiba NB200 Netbook launched

Toshiba has added to its “mini-notebook” range in the UK with the launch of the new Mini NB200, a netbook with a 10.1-inch 1024×600 resolution widescreen TruBrite LED backlight display. A regional variant of the UX series announced in Japan this week, a selection of models will be available with consumers able to take their pick from a 1.6GHz Intel Atom Processor N270, or the new, more powerful Intel Atom N280.

Both models get the Intel 945GSE graphics chipset, Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition, a new textured cover and a “tiled” keyboards design. Other features include a 160GB HDD, webcam, Bluetooth, 802.11 b/g Wi-Fi and three USB ports one of which with Toshiba’s “Sleep-and-Charge” tech that lets users to charge devices when the netbook is off.

With the claim of up to 4-hours battery life, four colour options will be available, in shades of brown, black, white and pink. The Mini NB200 will be available from May 2009, with prices starting from £319.
