LG is working on a new version of the popular LG Arena, currently dubbed the Arena Max.The LG Arena Max, also known as the LU9400, is rumoured to feature an improved camera and a larger screen. Considering the original Arena already features a sizeable 3-inch screen, we reckon the Arena Max may make the jump up to a 3.5-inch model, more in-line with top handsets like Apple’s iPhone and HTC’s Hero.

On the camera front, the original Arena had a capable 5-megapixel snapper, so logic suggests the Arena Max will either step up to an eight or, less likely, 12-megapixel model.

The LG Arena Max has only just been Wi-Fi certified, so it’ll be a while before it gets anywhere near the high street, but considering how strong the original Arena was, it’ll be one we’ll keep an eye on.
